Based on all researches, the oldest wind instrument which can be the base of an ancient Flute and Ney, was discovered in a village in Germany.
According to a recent media report, archaeologists have unearthed a 35,000-year-old flute in the village in southern Germany which has been considered as the world's oldest musical instrument. The Paleolithic flute is 22 cm long and 2.5 cm in diameter and it is made of the bones of a vulture. There are a few holes on this instrument and it looks like for finger position, changing the sound, and frequency.
It seems that the oldest image of a wind instrument and its musician is in Iran which is the image of an emblem. The emblem was obtained by Professor Delougaz and Professor Helene J. Kantor in the excavation of Chogha mish Hill, Khuzestan.
