Music of the monastery;

At any moment,
the sound of the music of the universe will give a message from the God,
and wherever an ear is that can hear the sound,
it falls in love with that sound.

Monastery music is a drop of the source of universe's sound.

One of the most popular percussion instruments is Def which has always been popular for its simple structure and spirit-soothing sound. Originally, the word “Def” is Hebrew and it means “to beat”.
Making, playing, and using this instrument has always been prevalent in different cultures. It has been used in the nations according to its customs and traditions. In some tribes, Def is used as a primary instrument in the ceremonies of surah and entertainment. In other tribes, it is used for war and campaign, while others used it as an instrument for performing religious ceremonies.

In Iran, there are few instruments which have mythological aspects. They are respected, and still, they carry symbols with them. These are Temira Nuban (Hormozgan), Horn (Bushehr), Rahmani Timbani (Hormozgan and Baluchistan), and Kermanshah Tambour.
Tambour is the oldest of the plectrum string instruments and it’s the first instrument which has a long handle with a kegler and a tendon. Tambour has a mystical and epic personality and it is also used to play epic pieces. It has found different names and shapes throughout the course of its historical and cultural journey through different places and regions.

 Ney, a wind instrument;

Ney is known as the oldest musical instrument which was made by humans. It’s one of the world's ancient wind instruments. According to some theories, its early forms could be the first human invention to create musical sound. Citing evidence from prehistoric times, several scientists believed that the first instrument for sound production may have been a wind instrument which is made of animal horns. These instruments were a single sound instrument which was known as trumpet, horn, or same names to provide life dailies and sending messages.
According to a theory, the first species of this wind instrument was used for producing a type of bird sound to be called to the hunting ground, and then the same horn-like mean was used to throw at the prey.
However, the certain point is that the human larynx and its influence from the beautiful natural sounds such as birds, waterfalls, and the blowing wind on the leaves of trees can be a special priority for wind instruments in this phenomena. This priority has been seen throughout human history. 1100 years ago, Abu Nasr Farabi also considered human throat as a super instrument of music.
